If this has been judgement (  it may very well be -  as all calamites 
to some degree occur where sin and corruption of soul are rampant- 
meaning everywhere) then we must remember, for example, Joel, though 
judgement fall all around him and may even consume him He is in the 
palm of the Lord.
And Habbakkuk who so earnestly wrote God's own words, "in judgement 
remember mercy."
And then there is Job, "shall I only accept good from the Lord and not 
evil?"
