Doug, our prayers are with you and your family during  the season - after 
Katrina, the major celebration - AFTER remembering Christ's  birth, is that your 
family is safe and able to be together.  BR is a good  place in many ways.   
We have family there as well.   My  husband's sister had to relocate from 
Biloxi to Monroe, where we have other  family.
Blessings - may you be a blessing to your family in  dealing with losses.
