I think it eminently better than those congregations that I have been in where they hardly seem to care if the Scriptures are read or a pastoral prayer is prayed at all. As long as they sing innumerable, inane and repetitive choruses, no one seems to care what they do. So if our church adopted that practice I would think it a step in the right direction!
