I firmly believe if Hebrews 10:25 did not exist, there would be very little impetus from many in this camp to hold a public gathering on Sunday (I've seen this passage treated as an arbitrary NT commandment as if its sole purpose is to force us to gather; not coincidentally, if 1 Tim. 2:12 didn't exist, given what is seemingly the consensus on this list, there'd be no reason to not have women elders; the NT was never meant to be read this way). While I'm not Sabbatarian (Sunday is not a Christian sabbath), the NT collectively invests much meaning (and eschatology) in the corporate gathering of the people.
