The corporate worship I see in the New Covenant is the celebration of believer who come together to encourage each other to obstain from sin and to grow in grace. I believe that much of the limitations we see today is a carry over from the Old Covenant. That is the foundation of the clergy - laity distinction which is not found in the New Covenant.

  Corporate Worship?

Can someone on this list provide the rest of us with a New Covenant
description of "Corporate Worship"? In scripture we do see an emphasis on
coming together for the purpose of "one anothering" but much of what I
suspect we do these days has little to do with "one anothering" as taught in
the New Testamemt. I'm not denying the need for sound expository teaching
and oversight by wiser and more gifted brethren.

In my fourteen years overseeing a flock it grieved me deeply how the saints
could not divorce themselves from a clergy - laity model. Such a model has
its roots in the Old Law Covenant.

Scared to death of being "pastor",

Moe
