SPIRITUAL DIGEST

Connecting the brethren since 1996

http://www.spiritualdigest.com

This web site and SPIRITUAL DIGEST newsletter are mainly aimed to reach the members of various Brethren Assemblies all over the world. SPIRITUAL DIGEST started in 1996 and is the first of it's kind among Indian Believers. The list was initially hosted by yahoo groups, but later moved to Associate.com. Any believer can join to receive Assembly news, Prayer Requests, Bible Trivia, and other messages for spiritual edification, but we are mainly focused to connect the members of different Brethren Assemblies around the world.

Today Spiritual Digest is one of the largest groups maintained by Associate.com with the largest brethren members database. Spiritual Digest keeps you updated, but never flood your inbox with emails. We send out an average of 3 emails only a week. The size of the messages are between 1-15Kb only!!

If you do not want to receive email messages from Spiritual Digest, you can easily unsubscribe yourself at any time by sending a blank email message to the unsubscribe address shown at the bottom of this page.

We welcome prayer points, assembly news, and other inputs from the believers for the edification of the body of Christ. We encourage you to take printouts of Spiritual Digest prayer requests to your prayer groups, assembly prayer meetings or individual prayer rooms. We motivate and mobilize the largest prayer chain by informing and connecting the brethren since 1996!!! Please pray and get involved in this humble ministry.

Please send your prayer subjects, assembly news or other information to one of the following email addresses.

A prayer request from Turkey

Dear Friends and Prayers Partners,

This will be a very short prayer update.  We have a situation here we need for everyone to bring before the Lord.  There is an Iranian family who has been in Turkey for the past ten years.  They are believers and he is the pastor of a local house church of some 30 people.  They have, for some reason or other, been continually turned down for refugee status even though he was put in prison and tortured over a period of time while living in Iran.  When they released him they did it by throwing him out of a moving car in the middle of the night while driving down the street’s of Tehran, Iran.  As a result he suffered great injuries.  Anyway he came to Turkey and then brought out his family a year later.  After applying to the UN as a “refugee” he was, as stated earlier, denied and has been so on every occasion afterwards.  They now have this sense of “hopelessness” as to their situation here because of this.
He is so desperate that he has concocted a plan to return to Iran at which point he will more then likely be arrested, imprisoned, and then possible executed.  He feels that he needs to do this in order to open the doors for his wife and children to gain the “refugee status” they need to “get to another country” where they can practice their faith.  We are talking to them about this but do not seem to be making much headway in changing his mind.
Pray that the Lord will perform a miracle, which we know He can do, to open the doors for them to be able to leave the country.  Also pray that the Lord will sustain them while they are here for whatever length of time that may be.

Blessing,

Bill and Janet Meredith

PS If you could share this with other churches or other believers we would appreciate it and I know they will.  They need all the prayer they can get.
