Recipe: Chocolate Crinkles
Yield: 1 Servings
1/4 c Butter
4 Squares unsweetened -- chocolate 2 c Flour 2 c Sugar 2 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt 3 Eggs Powdered sugar
Melt butter and chocolate. Stir in all other ingredients EXCEPT powdered sugar. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 300.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll well in powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until set. Cool on rack.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
NOTES: I used 1 tablespoon butter and 3 tablespoons cocoa powder for each oz of chocolate, since I was out. It worked fine.
The cookies stick less if the pan is powdered with confec sugar before placing cookies.
