Recipe: Newfoundland French Toast

      1    Egg
      1 c  Milk
    1/4 ts Salt
      2 tb Molasses
      8 sl Dry bread

Preheat a griddle or large, heavy skillet. Combine the egg, milk, salt and molasses in a shallow dish. Dip the bread slices into the mixture, coating both sides. Pan fry the bread slices in butter until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with butter and maple syrup. ~~~ Denise Collins
