Ingredients:
2 Cup(s) Seedless raisins
1 1/2 Cup(s) Water
1 1/2 Cup(s) Sugar
1 Cup(s) Shortening
1 Teaspoon(s) Vanilla
3 Eggs
3 1/2 Cup(s) Flour
1 Teaspoon(s) Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon(s) Baking soda
1 Teaspoon(s) Salt
1 1/2 Teaspoon(s) Cinnamon
1 Teaspoon(s) Nutmeg
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Cloves
1 Cup(s) Quick cooked rolled oats
1 Apple, unpeeled finely

Directions:
Heat raisins and water to boil, simmer 5 minutes. Cool water and
raisins. Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla. Add eggs and beat well.
Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices. Add this
mixture with raisin water and sugar mixture. Add oats, raisins and
apple. Chill several hours. Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at
