Ingredients:
1 Teaspoon(s) Olive oil
1 Cup(s) Chopped onion
4 Garlic cloves, minced
1/2 Cup(s) Dry red wine or 2
tablespoons balsamic
Vinegar
1 Tablespoon(s) Sugar
1 Tablespoon(s) Chopped fresh or 1 teaspoon
Dried basil
1 Teaspoon(s) Crushed red pepper
2 Tablespoon(s) Tomato paste
1 Tablespoon(s) Lemon Juice
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Dried Italian seasoning
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Black pepper
2 14.5 oz diced tomatoes
undrained
2 Tablespoon(s) Chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
This spicy sauce gets its name from arrabbiare, which means "to get
angry" in Italian. Heat oil in a saucepan or large skillet over
medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic; saute 5 minutes. Stir in wine
and next 8 ingredients (wine through tomatoes); bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium, and cook, uncovered, about 15 minutes. Stir in
parsley. Yield: 3 cups (serving size: 1 cup). Recipe by: Cooking
