It Can't Be Helped

Sometimes there is nothing you can do about it.
You may become "all things to all men" in order to "by all
means save some" (1 Cor. 9:22) but still many will not
listen. Try as you might to get along, there will be people
that just will not like you. They have no reason except
that you teach the truth. It is important not to let this
type of person get to you. Don't let them cause you to lose
enthusiasm for the work of God. John says that we should
"Marvel not, brethren, if the world hateth you" (1John 3:13).
In similar words, our Lord tells us the same thing: "If the
world hateth you, ye know that it hath hated me before it
hated you" (John 15:18). Never stop teaching the gospel. It
is ".the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth" (Romans 1:16). There will always be people that
don't like you. As long as you are faithful to the word of God,
it can't be helped.

In Christ, Steve Preston
