"CALL IUDATESTRING" sounds good
but _LongDate can produce different string depending on the configuration.
Your code does not work at least in Japanese.
It may be the case in other two-byte code countries as well.

Please consider international user!

'My modification of your code is

CALL IUDATESTRING([_Time],_LongDate,DateWork$)
YY$=LEFT$(DateWork$,4)
MM$=MID$(DATE$,1,2) ' use classic code
DD$=MID$(DATE$,4,2) ' use classic code

TEXT _sysfont ' for international code
PRINT DateWork$
PRINT YY$
PRINT MM$
PRINT DD$
