Brian,

The simplest and most complete way to use Colored Text in an Edit field 
is with Resorcerer

You can set The Font, Font Style, Font Size and Font Color (Up to over a 
Million) of individual Char using any Font that is installed in your 
System Font Folder

To use a Custom Font installed in your program .. Make a Duplicate 
Suitcase with that font in it .. And drop it into your System Font Folder 
.. Resorcerer will use the System Copy .. Your Program will use the 
Installed copy .. There will be no Conflict
