Interesting code. Maybe I'm being too picky but:

Someone, probably staz, told me early on: always start global variables with
a lowercase "g" as in 'gMyVar%'. That way global variables are always
instantly identifiable.

I noticed that you don't follow this convention. Is there a reason not to
follow th 'g' = global idea?
