A popup menu doesn't just display it's title all the time, and the 
choices only when selected - it displays the current choice all the time, 
and there usually is no "title". There is no provision for displaying 
multiple choices.

Just have a button on your "main" window open another window with all the 
checkboxes, and put a "done" button on it that closes it and tells your 
main window to display the choices selected...
