Explain "virtual functions".  Sounds like you might be talking about DEF

Methods can be overidden if that is what you mean, and they can also be 
inherited from any of the objects superclasses.

Not sure about _adding_ operators, but you will have full access to the 
low level code that makes different keywords work, and can modify that 
code if you need to.  I can't give you much more information than that 
right now.
