That all depends what direction you are going. It is ALWAYS best to post a short code example because that will answer all sorts of questions. For now we'll have to assume you are: 1) Not using Carbon Events 2) Converting the nib fields to FB buttons since you are apparently successfully using def SetButtonTextString. 3) fn ButtonTextString$ retrieves a string given the button number. Using def SetButtonTextString. and fn ButtonTextString$ are fine if your needs are limited to 255 characters or less. Brian S.
