Bernie's response is specifically aimed at the CFIndex utilities he  
wrote. The CFIndex utilities use mutable CF Arrays  ( which are Core  
Foundations calls) which have no limits (other than machine  
resources) on size (or capacity as it is called in the docs). So, you  
could roll your own code (i.e. not using Bernie's cool CFIndex) using  
CF calls if you are so inclined.
