2 Pound(s) Apples, peeled cored
halved and sliced
1/2-inch thick
2 Tablespoon(s) Fresh lemon juice
3 Tablespoon(s) Cold unsalted butter, cut

Brown sugar
Whipped cream

2 Teaspoon(s) Vanilla extract
How to Prepare Apple Brown Betty: Preheat oven to 350 F. Butter a
shallow 6- x 9-inch rectangular baking dish with 2 tablespoons of
softened butter. In a small bowl, combine the crumbs, brown and white
sugar and spices. Toss the apples with the lemon juice. Scatter 2
tablespoons of the crumb mixture into the bottom of the baking dish.
Top with 1/2 the fruit and scatter 1/4 cup of the crumbs over. Top
with the remaining fruit and crumbs and dot with the 3 tablespoons of
chilled butter. Bake until the crumbs are browned and fruit is bubbly
and tender, about 35 minutes. How to Prepare Brown Sugar Whipped
