Ingredients:
3/4 Cup(s) Sugar
2 Tablespoon(s) Flour
1/2 Teaspoon(s) Cinnamon
1/4 Teaspoon(s) Salt
5 Cup(s) Sliced apples
1/4 Cup(s) Water
1 Tablespoon(s) Butter or margarine
1 1/2 Teaspoon(s) Baking Powder
3 Tablespoon(s) Shortening
1/2 Cup(s) Milk
Directions:
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon & salt. Mix with apples. Pour into
baking dish. Sprinkle with water & dot with butter or margarine. Cover
with foil & bake at 400 for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, sift flour, sugar,
baking powder & salt. Cut in shortening. Stir in milk. Drop by
spoonfuls onto hot apples. Bake uncovered for 25-35 minutes. Makes 6
