Ingredients:
1/4 Cup(s) All-Purpose Flour
1/4 Cup(s) Sugar
1/4 Cup(s) Firmly packed brown sugar
3 Tablespoon(s) Coarsely chopped macadamias
walnuts or pecans
1/8 Teaspoon(s) Ground cinnamon
2 1/2 Tablespoon(s) Butter or margarine, cut
into small pieces
7 Cup(s) Peeled & thinly sliced, Peeled & thinly sliced
Cooking apple
2 Tablespoon(s) Apricot preserves
Directions:
Combine first 5 ingredients in a bowl. Cut in margarine with a pastry
blender until mixture is crumbly. Place thinly sliced apple in a
lightly greased 8-inch square baking dish; drop apricot preserves by
teaspoonfuls onto apple slices, and sprinkle evenly with flour
mixture. Bake at 375° for 35 minutes or until golden. Makes 6
servings. Kitchen Express: Substitute 2 (12-ounce) packages frozen
scalloped apples, thawed, for fresh apples. Notes: Select tart,
green-skinned Granny Smiths for cakes and pies. Recipe by: Southern
