Recipe Name: Apple Pudding #1 Submitted by: Administrator
Source: Source Description:
Ethnicity: Last Modified: 2/22/2014
Base: Comments:
Course: Dessert
Preparation Time:
Number of Servings: 4

1 Cup(s) Applesauce
1/2 Cup(s) Whipping cream
3 Tablespoon(s) Butter, melted
3 Eggs, beaten
1/2 Cup(s) Powdered sugar
1 Lemon Rind, Grated
This is a quick and delicious bit of Virginia history. Jefferson
planted several varieties of apples and they can be seen in the daily
cooking of the plantation. We assume that this recipe came from the
old original Monticello cookbook. Mix all of the above together well
and put in a pie shell or a baking dish. I prefer a small baking dish.
Bake 35-40 minutes at 350ø or until set. From <The Frugal Gourmet
Cooks American>. Downloaded from Glen's MM Recipe Archive,
